How is US President elected?

 Process and steps for selecting US president.

1. Primaries & Caucuses,Each party picks a candidate for the election.,States hold primary elections or caucuses (meetings) to choose their favorite candidate.

2. National Conventions,Each party announces its presidential candidate.,The winning candidate from each party’s primary/caucus is formally nominated by the party.

3. General Election Campaign,Candidates campaign across the country to gain support.,The selected candidates from each party campaign, sharing their plans and ideas to get votes.

4. General Election (Voting Day),Voters in each state cast their votes for their favorite candidate.,Held on the first Tuesday of November every four years. Voters choose the candidate they support.

5. Electoral College Voting,Electoral College officially decides the president.,Each state has a certain number of electoral votes. Candidate with majority wins (needs 270 out of 538).

6. Inauguration,The president-elect is sworn in and begins their term.,Happens on January 20 following the election, where the new president officially takes office.

The candidate with the most Electoral College votes (270 or more) becomes the President.

The election has two main parts: a popular vote and the Electoral College vote.
