Indian Teacher wins US $1 million Global Teacher Prize 2020 #RanjitsinhDisale

 Ranjitsinh Disale, a primary school teacher from the Solapur village in Maharashtra, won the US $1 million Global Teacher Prize 2020 , founded by the Varkey Foundation, and organized in partnership with UNESCO.

Ranjitsinh Disale was one of ten finalists nominated, and he was recognized for his efforts at promoting girls' education and triggering a quick-response (QR) coded textbook revolution in India. In his winning speech, he announced that he intends to share half of the prize money with the remaining nine teachers from the Global Teacher Prize 2020 finalists.

Corporate Governance - REI CEO resigns after investigation into personal relationship

The CEO of REI resigned Monday, following an investigation that found he had not disclosed a personal relationship, the company said in a news release Tuesday.  An external law firm overseen by the company's board found that REI President and CEO Jerry Stritzke was in a personal and consensual relationship with the leader of an organization in the outdoor industry. He'll be leaving REI on March 15. Eric Artz, REI chief operating officer, was announced as the interim CEO effective immediately.
